London, UK. 10 June, 2023. Protest against development of the Rosebank oil field by Norwegian state-owned oil company Equinor which, campaigners say, threatens climate targets and marine wildlife. Located 130 kilometres west of the Shetland Islands it is the biggest undeveloped oil field in the North Sea. The protest, one of many around the country, was organised by a coalition of climate and marine organisations including Friends of the Earth Scotland, Greenpeace UK, Oceana UK, Parents For Future UK, Sea Shepherd UK and Surfers Against Sewage.
