London, UK. 11 August, 2023. Junior doctors working for the NHS in England stage a 'Pay Restoration' rally in Whitehall on the first day of a four day strike seeking pay rises which reflect inflation and the growing cost of living. Wage stagnation and government underfunding of the NHS has seen some staff emigrate in search of better pay and conditions and, reflecting this, a van advertising health work in Australia circled the rally.
