London, UK. 6 September, 2024. 'From Here On', a short play depicting refugees fleeing persecution and seeking asylum is performed by the Good Chance and the Gecko Theatre companies as part of the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival (GDIF). Marking 85 years since the Kindertransport saved 10,000 Jewish children from Nazi Europe, and performed in the same week in which 12 asylum seekers drowned while attempting to cross the English channel, the play explores displacement, movement and being forced to find a new home.
