London, UK. 20 June, 2023. Opening of public art work 'Bags of Hope' by Sophie Cunningham, commissioned by charity Migrant Help, comprising a two-metre structure of backpacks with luggage tags telling stories of asylum seekers. Created to mark the UK's Refugee Week the piece is on display on London's South Bank and is designed to encouraging empathy towards people seeking asylum. Commissioner Migrant Help exists to protect people affected by displacement and is this year marking its 60th anniversary.
